DRUMdee Makes A Drum is a children's book written by Floyd Darden Ph. D. It tells the story of DRUMdee who expresses the power of personal motivation as he creates a new instrument (the drum) and learns to share it with other kids.
Dr. Darden is a creative artist who works with Joy Enterprises. He is also a Drum Therapist and Ventriloquist who works with the HOLISTIC MUSIC MINISTRY to provide rehabilitation, health, and wellness to Alzheimer's patients. Dr. Darden is also a musician who has worked in the past with Johnny Mathis, Jose Feliciano, Mel Torme, Juma Santos, Jazz Power, and Ink Spots.
Floyd Darden also served as a Captain (EEOCE officer) with the Pennsylvania National Guard, earned his B.A. at Boston University, attended the Berkelee School of Music and the New England Conservatory, and completed his Ph. D. in Humanities in 1999. His presence is often sought for lecture presentations in Drum Therapy for many venues including Science Fair and Medical Exploration at St. Mary's Hospital and Medical Center (Pennsylvania, USA), Montreal (Canada), and Guilford University.
Dr. Darden is currently in the Philippines to offer Health and Wellness through Ventriloquism (Puppetry)as well as to present DRUM TALK and provide training sessions/conferences to RNs and LPNs leaving the Philippines to work in Alzheimer's Units in the USA.
