So, what's this "Batgirl" stuff? Ha Ha Ha. It all started when the new schedule of duties was posted at the Lab's bulletin board and I saw that I mostly had NIGHT duties for the whole month of November. Ain't no way for a girl (an OLD girl, LOL) to spend most of her time, I thought to myself. Whatever happened to Day Shifts? Why on earth am I not given Day Shifts? Has anyone even heard of Day Shifts? My gosh, why do I keep having all the Night duties? So many questions, so little answers. MARS, my young co-Med Tech, responded with humor to my "lamentations", and laughingly quipped,
"Well, Ate Claire, that only means you're now the Certified BATGIRL of the Lab! Congratulations."
BATGIRL, huh? Hmmmm, I thought it didn't sound so bad. That is, if you think of Alicia Silverstone playing Batgirl
Besides, reflecting on what MARS said, it did seem to kind of fit my November sked of duties; and add to that the fact that I have trouble sleeping and cannot even catch a few winks on my night duties.
Oh, you betcha, I'm a member of the Insomnia Club, LOL. I guess, this only means that the monicker "Batgirl" suits me, ha ha ha. I like it. I like it so much I stuck a laminated photo of the Batgirl DC doll on the door of my locker at the Lab. It sure had every MT laughing when they saw it.
Actually, when I thought of putting that Batgirl photo on my locker, I was kind of annoyed at the thought of getting mostly night duties, ha ha ha and my putting that Batgirl photo on my locker was kinda a 'silent protest'. Ssshhhhh.....
But, now that I've thought of it, I'm beginning to like being teasingly called BATGIRL, ha ha ha. And, I have MARS to thank for this cute monicker. So, thank you, MARS, if you're listening...er, reading, LOL.
I'm going on yet another Night Duty tonight and so, I'd better get some much needed sleep right now to make up for sleep loss later tonight Besides, if I don't catch some sleep, according to GIGI, RMT (kumusta, Parts? May nakita na ka surprise naghulat sa imo sa Bacte? Hee hee hee. Kung wa pa, WAIT lang, PROMISE, hee hee hee) :
"Batgirl will get so tired of standing (as shown from the photo on my locker) she'd come down and wake the Night duty-MTs trying to catch some sleep on the folding beds (hala, gi-bulgar, hee hee)". Yikes! Hee, hee. Ayaw, mudagan jud si Den2 ug si Malla, ha ha ha. Lukso si Elvie, unya mabuang katawa si Iki (demure daw sya), Jay, ug Rhodz.
I'm truly enjoying the company of my newfound MT-friends at the Lab. There's never a dull moment with them around me. But, then, I'm the "author of ka-amawan ", ha ha ha ha. Wang-gits na man unta pero amaw lang japon, di ba, mga Parts nako sa MMG?
Better stop all this non-sense, ROFL....
Batgirl will now get her POWER NAP (yes, Jay, may nahibal-an pa ko na "power nap", ha ha) to be followed by her POWER DRINK later
